At first look, you might think that it's a about controlling clouds to pour rain to the a world below, but it's not like that. It's more of a touch that goal object while avoiding obstacles type of flash game. Use arrow keys to navigate the around your clouds and touch the blue clouds to make them one of the white ones. Storm clouds here serves as an obstacle that you must avoid touching. It's basically a base defense game wherein you have to cut down the advancing enemies from the shore to your town. Tingkatkan kecepatan Blogger Anda (Fastest Blogger)

Kawan-kawan atau rekan-rakan saya kali ini ingin memberikan sebuah tips-trik yang berguna . yakni Mempercepat tampilan tampilan blogger Anda, mungkin kita banyak yang tidak menyadari termasuk saya sendiri blogger yang kita buat terasa lambat atau kurang cepat diakses atau di-load, namun apa yang menyebabkan hal tersebut ???

Akhirnya saya mencari tahu di Om Google, ternyata ada beberapa faktor yang menyebabkan blogger kita terasa lelet / lambat / lemot / lemah tak bertenaga kwkwk banyak banget, berikut saya simpulkan satu persatu.

Penyebab Utama Blogger Terasa Lambat
  1. Terlalu banyak gambar-gambar yang berukuran besar disematkan di blogger. Seperti blogger saya dahulu, saya banyak menyematkan gambar-gambar besar seperti Banner-banner iklan seperti dari AwSurvery, dan lain sebagainya. Terus saya juga sematkan foto-foto facebook saya, hehehe promosi kalee..., dengan terlalu banyaknya gambar-gambar berukuran besar, dapat memperlambat akses loading blogger kita, karena Program Internet Browser akan banyak me-load gambar-gambar tersebut. Coba aja bayangkan masa blogger cuma intinya nulis puisi doank pake ada isi foto-foto atau gambar-gambar besar terasa gak nyaman kan, ketika kita ingin copy-paste puisi tersebut tapi malah blogger-nya lama di akses kan jadi males ya kan...   oleh sebab itu buang gambar-gambar yang berukuran besar yang tidak penting, kalo emang penting ya gak apa-apa ganti aja dengan gambar yang sama tapi berukuran kecil.
  2. Terlalu banyak Flash (*.swf) dari Perusahaan Adobe yang disematkan di blogger. Anda pasti sudah tahu kan flash.. bagi yang belum tahu flash itu apa, cari aja di Om Google . Dengan banyaknya flash di blogger kita tentu akan menjadi Blogger kita bertambah lambat . Emang si dengan adanya Flash blogger kita akan terasa lebih Menarik dan Canggih dilihat, tapi untuk apa penampilan bagus tapi lambat hehehe . Flash itu sendiri juga banyak memakan Resource Memory sehingga menyebabkan Leak Of Memory. Oleh karena itu saya sarankan kalau mau pakai Flash sedikit aja jangan banyak-banyak kalau perlu tidak sama sekali.
  3. Banyaknya Steaming yang di-load. Seperti halnya Youtube, Music Live, dan sebagainya mungkin sebagian dari kita merasa senang dengan menyematkan video atau musik di blogger kita, tanpa kita sadari dengan menyematkan video atau musik tersebut membuat lambat Blogger kita, karena setiap kali di load secara otomatis file-file streaming tersebut masuk ke komputer kita.
  4. Terlalu banyak Gadget di blogger. Buang gadget yang tidak terlalu penting dari blogger, seperti gadget games, gadget jam atau kalender, buang aja.. gak penting kalau mau tampilan jam atau kalender pakeai Javascript aja yang lebih ringan.
  5. Yang terakhir, yakni terlalu banyak Javascript dan CSS yang disematkan di Template blogger. Buang atau hilangkan javascript yang tidak terlalu penting, seperti ketika kita click kanan ditampilan blogger kita terus keluar pesan "Selamat Datang" atau "Welcome" atau "Marhaban" hehehe, itu buang aja gak terlalu penting.
Dari keterangan di atas saya menyimpulkan solusi tersebut :
  1. Sebelumnya Anda cek dahulu kecepatan Blogger Anda apa cepat atau lambat di Website Speed Tes (http://www.iwebtool.com/speed_test), kalau lambat mungkin Anda harus melakukan pengurangan beberapa konten seperti yang saya jelaskan di atas, kalau sudah cepat yah.. ga apa-apa sih gak ngikutin penjelasan saya di atas .   2. Kurangi gambar yang berukuran besar, seperti yang saya jelaskan diatas. Pengurangan di sini bukan berarti Anda benar-benar membuang gambar-gambar berukuran besar Anda, ada banya cara untuk hal tersebut, pertama jika Anda menggunakan gambar besar sedang gambar tersebut berupa kartun juga format gambar tersebut Bitmap (*.bmp), maka yang perlu Anda lakukan mengubah file bitmap (*.bmp) Anda menjadi JPEG (*.jpg) atau GIF (*.gif), karena dengan format tersebut pixel pada gambar Anda akan lebih dipersempit ketimbang format Bitmap. Kedua resize aja ukuran gambar Anda menjadi lebih kecil dengan program utility gambar seperti Adobe Photoshop, Irvan View, Photoscape dan lain sebagainya.
  3. Ganti Template Blogger Anda yang lebih ringan yang tidak terlalu banyak me-load gambar, untuk hal ini Anda bisa mencarinya di Om Google atau cari di btemplates.com usahakan Anda cari yang sederhana aja jangan yang tapilannya yang terlalu WAHH...
  4. Optimiskan CSS di Template blogger Anda, dengan mengkompres CSS tersebut menjadi lebih kecil. Dengan mengecilkan CSS dapat menambah kecepatan Blogger kita, berikut cara mengkompres CSS:
    • Login ke Blogger Anda.
    • Klik "Rancangan" terus "Edit HTML" centangkan "Expand Template Widget".
    • Anda Find kata 
      <b:skin>
      block semua sampai ketemu kata 
      </b:skin>
      , terus Copy.

      Copy Dari sini :

      Sampai Sini :

    • Masuk ke website: http://www.cssdrive.com/index.php/main/csscompressor
    • Paste-kan CSS Anda ke CSS Compressor, pilih Compress Mode pada "Super Compact", dan Pilih Comments Handling pada "Don't strip any comments"

      Kemudian click "Compress-it"

    • Setelah itu, Anda lihat hasilnya, lebih kecil dari ukuran semula bukan ? , kemudian Anda klik Highlight Code, terus Copy, dan paste-kan di CSS Template Blogger Anda
Kesimpulan

Dengan tips-trik yang saya berikan ini, Anda akan memiliki beberapa keuntungan seperti menjadi bandwidth Anda menjadi lebih hemat, ini ditujukan bagi mereka yang menggunakan Internet Ber-qouta, kan sayang Quota kalau cuma mau copy-paste Artikel di Blogger, yang ternyata blogger tersebut tampilanya WAHH  banyak mengurangi Quota . Kawan-kawan atau rekan-rekan sekalian, kali ini saya mau memberikan sedikit tips & trick Membuat Smiley atau Emoticon di Blogger kita..., Ingat khusus buat Blogger (di blogspot.com / blogger.com), bukan wordpress atau yang lainya. Kenapa harus Blogger ? bukan yang lainya ?.. karena kita tahu sendiri pada dasarnya Blogger tidak menampilkan emoticon / smiley seperti halnya wordpress...

Awalnya saya mencari-cari tutorial ini dari mbah Google tapi hasilnya banyak yang tidak memuaskan kebanyakan mereka menggunakan Add-Ons GreaseaMonkey, emang sih enak ketika kita ingin posting, tinggal klik pada posting compose, tetapi itukan hanya bisa dijalankan di FIREFOX bukan browser yang lain.

Akhirnya saya menyimpulkan, menggunakan tekhnik Replace Text, ketika pertama kali blogger di load pada browser. Dengan teknik tersebut akhirnya saya berhasil membuat emoticon / smiley pada blogger.. dan bisa ditampilkan di semua browser.. saya sudah mencobanya ke beberapa browser lainya seperti Internet Exploer 7, Google Chrome 5, Opera 10 hasilnya dapat ditampilkan.Emoticon/Smiley ini tampil tidak hanya pada Blog Posting, pada Blog Comment juga bisa ditampilkan

Keuntungan pake script ini adalah ketika kita ketik seperti ": D" akan otomatis keluar seperti ini seperti halnya KASKUS. Kalo pake greasemonkey kan udah di-modif jadi gambar jadi ya.. kalo Anda pertama kali bikin blog ngepos belum pakai greasemonkey, postingan lama Anda tidak akan ada emoticon/smileynya.. gak enak kan

Langsung saja yu kita praktekkan

1. Login dulu Blogger Anda
2. Masuk ke "Rancangan" dan pilih "Edit HTML", juga centangkan pada "
3. Kemudian Anda Find kata 
<body>
 dan ganti menjadi 
<body id='body' onload='addSmiley();'>

4. Setelah itu Anda Download Script yang telah saya racik sendiri Download Script Emoticon/Smiley
5. Kalau sudah di-download buka file download tersebut yang bernama "bikinsmiley.js" di Notepad, trus klik Select All, kemudian Copy.
6. Setelah itu Anda masuk kembali ke blogger Anda dan klik "Rancangan" trus "Elemen Laman" dan klik "Tambah Gadget" kemudian pilih "HTML/Javascript", Paste kode Emoticon/Smiley-nya di Gadget tersebut.

7. Buat tambahin emoticon/smiley di atas komentar, Anda cara kode

Violence in Children's Literature

Nathan Bransford recently posted the beginnings of a dialogue about Mockingjay and violence in children’s literature in response to Sheryl Cotleur’s article questioning the violence which appeared in Shelf Awareness.


These are my thoughts.


Yes, Mockingjay is violent - even moreso than its predecessors, The Hunger Games and Catching Fire. It’s cringeworthy at times.


Yes it's a kid's book (Young Adult, 12 and up).


But I wouldn't want it any other way.


There are two issues here: the violence and the reading age.


For one thing, the violence isn’t gratuitous. Mockingjay takes place in the center of a revolution. In a society more violent than our own (let's hope).


I'm sure anyone who saw Saving Private Ryan remembers the horrific and graphic violence portrayed when the soldiers storm Omaha beach at Normandy. I can still visualize the moment when one soldier is standing and looking for something. He seems almost dazed and aimless - until you realize he's looking for his arm.  


As much as Suzanne Collins’ dystopian society in The Hunger Games trilogy is obviously fiction - and not real, there are obvious parallels we can draw here.  War is real.  And it is violent.  And horrific.  When you read about it, you’re supposed to cringe.
In Mockingjay (or any of the books in the trilogy), Suzanne Collins isn’t glorifying war or violence. In fact she weaves the emotional and psychological effects of the violence seamlessly into the lives of every character.


* SPOILER ALERT *
(Highlight the text to read the next paragraph).
You can make the argument that not a single character left alive at the end of Mockingjay has a “happy ending.” Katniss and Peeta are both so psychologically scarred and damaged, that even together, their relationship is a matter of survival - of needing someone there to help keep the nightmares at bay or to answer “real or not real.”  Haymitch has lapsed from sobriety back into alcoholism and a life where he is utterly alone.  Even Gale who’s off with his fancy job in District 2, must live with the fact that he doesn’t know whether he is responsible for Prim’s death.

There is absolutely nothing romanticized about the violence in Mockingjay, and quite frankly without the graphic descriptions and the way they can - and should - make you cringe, it runs the risk of dulling the emotional impact and the severity of what’s happening, that no matter the outcome, there are no winners in war.


The second issue is of course that unlike Saving Private Ryan, Suzanne Collins’ series is not written for an adult audience (though any adult who hasn’t read the books, should).  It’s written for teens - or “young adults.”





And here we run into the same underlying issues that have been censoring writers like Ellen Hopkins for the past several years.  (And she’s in good company: when I was teaching, each year I fought arguments from parents who wanted to censor Maya Angelou, Mark Twain, JD Salinger, Harper Lee, and Arthur Miller for one reason or another).

 The truth of it is, we as adults need to wake up.  The youth of today is living in a different world than we were even just 15, 10, or even 5 years ago.  

 Movie franchises like Batman, Iron Man, Spider-Man, etc are all laden with violence on screen, and kids younger than the majority of those reading Mockingjay are watching them - actually visually seeing the violence played out on screen.  

 We’ve all heard the arguments about video games and the possibly desensitizing violence there.  And the swearing and violent undertones in rap music or whatever else.

 But the youth of today is growing up with knowledge - about everything - literally at their fingertips.  All they have to do is log onto a computer and the internet can access them anything.  (And don’t delude yourself when it comes to those firewalls.  Smart kids find ways around them and tell everyone else. When I was teaching, the only people the firewalls kept from accessing facebook were the teachers.)

 Kids today are just different, and they’re not going to read about Scout and Jem Finch and be moved the same way some of us adults were.  There’s a reason that most of the high school kids don’t actually read.  (Reading cliff notes or asking the one kid in class who does their reading doesn’t count, obviously. I will wage money, that even in my Honors classes, less than 10% of my students actually read all of the required reading in its entirety.)  Even The Catcher in the Rye has a disconnect to the majority of the youth of today.  They think Holden’s whiny, and they don’t get what the Big Deal is.

 They want to read about sex, drugs, and violence because that’s the world they live in right now.  Those are the topics that will move them and open up dialogue and allow them to think.  And I for one would rather give them Crank or Beautiful and allow them to realize they’re not alone or experience the contents behind the safety of the written word than send them into the world unprepared.

 As for the violence specifically in Mockingjay.  The same reasoning applies.  There’s something to be said for having kids read about Panem’s dystopian society for more than just entertainment - but because hopefully some version of that won’t be our future.  

 I have a former student in the front lines of Afghanistan. He’s eighteen years old and two years ago when he was a junior in my classroom, he and his best friend taught me how to play Pokemon during lunch because the two of them played and talked Pokemon all the time.  

 That’s reality. (Just read War by Sebastian Junger.  It’s enough to make you feel ancient at twenty-nine.)
